Brazed knives
Brazed knives consist of a steel body onto which a strip of tungsten carbide is brazed at the cutting edge. This construction combines the toughness and machinability of steel with the extreme hardness and wear resistance of carbide exactly where it matters: on the cutting edge.
Brazed knives are widely used to cut highly abrasive materials such as transformer lamination (silicon steel), fiberglass, plastics, paper, rubber and non-woven materials. Compared to traditional steel blades, the carbide cutting edge lasts ten to twenty times longer, drastically reducing sharpening frequency and production downtime.
Each knife is manufactured 100% to order, based on your drawings or samples. We select the optimal carbide grade for your specific cutting application to maximise tool life and end-product quality.
