Punches and dies

Punches and dies

Punches and dies in tungsten carbide are used in stamping, blanking, piercing and forming operations on highly abrasive or hardened materials. Carbide tooling outlasts conventional tool steel by a wide margin, holding tight tolerances over far higher production volumes.

Typical applications include the manufacturing of transformer lamination, battery components, electrical connectors, fasteners and a wide range of stamped metal parts. Longer tool life means fewer tool changes, less downtime and consistently higher product quality.

ICC manufactures every punch and die to your drawing. We help you select the right carbide grade for the material being processed and the type of wear involved, ensuring the best balance between wear resistance and impact toughness.
